パリFLVの『シンディ・シャーマン』展を自宅で鑑賞！

パリのフォンダシオン ルイ・ヴィトンでは、シンディ・シャーマンの回顧展を今年の4月2日から8月末まで開催する予定だった。3月半ばからのフランスの第一回外出制限令に伴って、オープニング前にフォンダシオンも閉館に。そして日程は9月23日から2021年1月3日までと変更され、無事に開幕したのだが、10月29日から再びフランス国内の文化施設はクローズを余儀なくされ、会期中の再開は不可能となってしまった。

変装した自分を被写体にしたセルフポートレート作品で知られるシンディ・シャーマン。1975年から2020年まで170点の彼女の作品を集めて、時代順に展示する大規模な回顧展である。見損なったことを悔やんでいる人の数は計り知れず。それが1月31日まで、キュレーターたちの解説付きでバーチャルに展覧会場を一周できることになったのだ。魔法の絨毯に乗ってブローニュの森にあるフォンダシオン・ルイ・ヴィトンへと旅立った気分で、日本語字幕付きの20分を楽しもう。

なおこの回顧展と同時開催の『Crossing Views （交差する視点）』についても、このビデオ内で丁寧に紹介されている。これは財団が所蔵する作品の中から、シンディ・シャーマンの協力を得て選んだ、彼女の作品に呼応する約60点の作品展だ。クリスチャン・ボルタンスキー、ルイーズ・ブルジョワ、ダミアン・ハースト、アネット・メサジェ……過去にあまり展示されたことのない作品で、ポートレートが中心となっている。
